Honoring Board President Michael T. Lohss, Jr. for His Leadership and Lasting Impact

Jan 26, 2026 | News

Thanking Michael T. Lohss, Jr., for his leadership, service, and dedication to advancing workforce development through the YBA Workforce NOW Foundation.

Strong organizations are shaped by leaders who believe in the mission and show up consistently to move it forward. For the YBA Workforce NOW Foundation, Michael T. Lohss, Jr., General Manager of Regal, Inc., has been exactly that kind of leader.

As Mike concludes his two-year term as Board President (2024–2025), we want to pause and express our sincere gratitude for his leadership, commitment, and support of workforce development in York County.

A Longstanding Commitment to Workforce Development

Mike’s involvement with Workforce NOW spans far beyond his time as Board President. He has been a champion of the Foundation and its mission from the very beginning, helping shape programs that introduce students to careers in the building trades and create real pathways into the industry.

Some highlights of Mike’s dedication include:

  • Charter member of the Workforce NOW Board when the Foundation was created in 2022
  • Member of the Workforce NOW Committee since 2019
  • Board President from 2024–2025
  • Host of Construction Career Days since 2019 through Regal, Inc.
  • Partner in the Building Trades Pre-Apprenticeship Program since its inception in 2022
  • Participant and sponsor of the Building Trades Career Fair since it launched in 2022
  • Annual sponsor of Workforce NOW programs and events through Regal, Inc.

Leading by Example

Leadership by example sets Mike apart. He has consistently encouraged Regal, Inc. employees to be active participants in Workforce NOW programs, reinforcing the idea that workforce development is a shared responsibility across the industry.

Through Regal, Inc., Mike has also:

  • Supported and participated in community partnerships such as Junior Achievement and Keystone Kidspace projects
  • Hosted multiple job shadow opportunities for students
  • Hired directly from Workforce NOW programs, with Regal, Inc. currently employing two apprentices who first connected through Construction Career Days

This hands-on approach has made a meaningful difference for students exploring career options and for the Foundation as it continues to grow.

A Lasting Impact

Mike’s leadership has been instrumental in the expansion and success of the YBA Workforce NOW Foundation programs. His guidance, perspective, and genuine belief in the value of career exploration and training have helped strengthen the Foundation and extend its reach across our community.

We are incredibly grateful for Mike’s service as Board President and for the many ways he continues to support the future workforce of York County. His impact will be felt for years to come, not only through the programs he helped build, but through the lives changed along the way.

Thank you, Mike, for your leadership, your partnership, and your commitment to building the next generation of skilled professionals!
