YBA Workforce NOW Foundation Building Trades Career Fair

The YBA Workforce NOW Foundation is hosting a career fair for high school students on November 6, 2024, at the Wyndham Garden York from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Event Details:

• High school students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths in the building trades and connect with local employers.
• Employers will provide information on career and volunteer opportunities, training programs, apprenticeships, and showcase hands-on activities, tools of the trades, and equipment.
• Schools can register as a group and choose a preferred time slot to attend.

BUSINESS REGISTRATION 

This event is open to all YBA members. While there is no registration fee, we kindly request a donation to the Workforce NOW Foundation in lieu of a fee. Please use the Business Registration link to reserve your space.

Employer Participation:

• We encourage businesses to bring staff members who can engage with students and share their experiences in the building trades, alongside HR staff.
• Businesses are welcome to offer hands-on experiences and demonstrations.
• Vehicle and equipment displays are also welcome, there will be limited space available in the parking lot.

Our goal is to create an engaging and immersive experience for students, so they can see, feel, and hear firsthand about career opportunities in your business.
