The YBA is coordinating our third annual Construction Career Days, an exciting opportunity available to local students in Aril 2020. Construction Career Days is an extremely beneficial event for high school students who are not planning on pursuing a formal post-secondary education, or for students who are still unsure of their future career path. The purpose of Construction Career Days is to increase high school students? awareness of, and interest in, the readily available careers in the local construction industry.
Interested teachers/schools/homeschoolers, please complete the registration link below. We will match your students with a host company based on your request. Students can be transported from your high school to the event?s host company in the York area. The host company will plan and prepare activities that will familiarize students with the company?s services and the various construction careers available to them. This will be executed through a welcome and company overview, tours and demonstrations, employee testimonials, hands-on activities, and Q & A opportunities. All students and guests will be provided with lunch.
