This spring, the York Builders Association Workforce NOW Foundation proudly awarded scholarships to six outstanding students from the York County area, recognizing their academic achievements, college goals, dedication to their trade, and future aspirations in the building industry. These scholarships aim to support and encourage the next generation of skilled professionals in the local construction and trade sectors and those pursuing a post-secondary degree.
York Builders Association Member Scholarship Award Recipients
The York Builders Association Member Scholarship Award was presented to three exceptional students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a keen interest in pursuing a four-year degree:
- Randelle Agravante from West York High School
- Charlotte Grove from Red Lion Senior High School
- Johnathan Rose from Eastern York High School
These students have shown remarkable potential and dedication to their studies, earning them recognition and support as they take their next steps toward their educational goals.
Trade Scholarship Award Recipients
The Trade Scholarship Award highlights students who plan to continue a building trades-specific program and are committed to developing their skills in the building industry:
- Hayden Dixon from Spring Grove Area High School
- Tanner Glace from Spring Grove Area High School
Both Hayden and Tanner have demonstrated a strong passion for their trade, and this award will help them continue their education and training, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers.
Tool Scholarship Award Recipient
The Tool Scholarship Award was given to a student who has shown exceptional promise and commitment to pursuing a career in the trades, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed:
- Owen Whye from York Suburban High School
This scholarship will equip Owen with the essential tools required in the mechanical contracting field, helping to ensure he has the resources needed to thrive in his future endeavors.
